Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel of a variety of vehicles to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. As a CDL A driver, you'll be the vital link ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving and load handling will contribute directly to our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, adhering to schedules and traffic laws.
Manage documentation related to deliveries, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during trips.
Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles and various truck types such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using equipment like forklifts when required.
Excellent route planning skills for efficient delivery schedules.
Experience with delivery driver responsibilities including load securing and documentation management.
Good physical condition for handling loading tasks and long hours on the road.
