Job Overview:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that materials, components, and finished products meet established quality standards and specifications within the manufacturing environment.
This role performs inspections, tests, and documentation to verify product quality, identify defects, and support continuous improvement in production processes.
The Quality Inspector works closely with production leads and supervisors to maintain compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished products
Perform visual and dimensional checks (calipers, gauges, etc.)
Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation
Identify and report defects; assist with corrective actions
Support production teams to resolve quality issues
Conduct in-process checks and audits (LPA’s)
Maintain clean, organized inspection areas and equipment
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred
Basic knowledge of inspection tools and methods
Ability to read blueprints (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Basic computer skills
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance)
Pay
Up to $22/hour (based on experience)
