Thunder has been missing since 12/21 from the Myrtle Lane area in Hinesville.
it has been rumored that he is running around the area - but I really do not think that is the case. Thunder is a pampered kitty, he has lived indoors his entire life. He is not an outdoor cat.
A few people say that they have seen him, most say that they have not :(
many posts have been made - here and on facebook. fliers have been placed around the neighborhood....still nothing. I have not seen him myself.
Thunder is not "my" cat - but my little girls. They shared EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING since she was 5 years old and he was 3 weeks old. Baths. Showers (because he likes water) walks, cake, ice cream, french fries, bed, she goes to a sleep over and he goes along and if he cannot go, she chooses to stay home - - I cannot even begin to explain the level of sadness my child is experiencing at this moment. This cat is her best friend. His favorite toy are paint brushes (like the kind you paint your walls with) and she has hung paint brushes all over the backyard......just in case he is out there and he sees them.
So maybe he is roaming the neighborhood, being a brat and loving his new found freedom.... but in these temperatures...... with his spoiled prissy attitude, the cuddles and attention that he loves and craves - I just highly doubt that is the case. He is used to his human, his junk food, his showers, his nice soft warm bed and all the cat treats that one could want.
Thunder came to us about three weeks old with his sister. They were advertised FTGH here on CL. I got them because my last kid enetered school, I was not working and I needed something that needed me. They were so sick with upper respiratory infections. They were bald and crusty - covered head to toe with ring worm. We thought that the tip of his tail was broken - turns out, it wasn't! it is actually more like an extra joint and he can actually move just that one part of the bend in his tail without moving the rest of his tail....... The kittens barely had teeth, they needed a lot of care and I had plenty of time to be able to provide that. Now here we are all these many years later..... Thunder may have taken a liking to our daughter, but he is a part of our entire family and him not being home affects us all.
He is so cool and such a good cat. Curious as all get out lol He can open doors, all kinds of knobs - he has mastered them all - except deadbolts, he cannot open those (yet!) he can turn on the faucets too. He is forever wagging his tail. He jumps onto everything and has to check out everything. He hops on his hind legs to greet you too! So I can totally see why if he jumped into someone's car or even walked into someone's house why they would be inclined to be like ooo this is my cat now...... and let's not forget to mention he looks cool as hell too. well. he is not a pure bred anything - he is a Heinz 57 as they say, a little bit of everything. He has a microchip. So that is stealing and he won't bring you any extra cash.... He has a big family (with 4 kids) who is torn up over him missing, who is very very sad and very worried. He has a biological sister cat who is back at home awaiting his return too! not to mention all the chicken nuggets and french fries his little kitty heart desires <3
I really do not have a whole lot. But I am willing to offer a reward. My daughter is also willing to offer every single cent that she has ever saved to whoever returns her best friend back to his home where he belongs. no judging if he has been with you - shoot, it will be a HUGE sigh of relief just to know he has been safe from the elements and predators to be honest & no judging because we love him and we know he is awesome ;)
