Martha U. Cooney is a renowned American artist based at her own gallery in Butte, Montana, where her work is on display for viewing and sale. She is recognized by collectors and critics alike for her artwork, which has also been offered at other national venues, as well as at auction multiple times. Her works include “Columbia Gardens” from 1996 and “Wise River Club” from 1982.

Martha Cooney’s contributions to the arts are particularly recognized in her beloved Butte, where she is often mentioned in association with the cultural scene. She also has a history of storytelling and performance, having won The Moth GrandSLAM storytelling competition and being a frequent First Person Arts Winning Storyteller and Audience Favorite.

Moreover, Martha Cooney has been involved in memorializing historical events in Butte, such as the Warehouse Explosion of 1895. She created a pencil drawing that includes images of individuals affected by the tragedy, contributing to the community’s remembrance of its history.

Her work and involvement in the arts and culture of Butte highlight her as a significant figure in the local as well as national art community.

This piece is from our large art collection, assembled over a more than 50-year time span. The collection consists of original paintings lithographs, photographs, drawings, etchings, and other types of prints, as well as some mixed media pieces, all of which we'll eventually be listing on Craigslist Marketplace. As our main concern is finding new, appreciative homes for the pieces, we're pricing them to sell, at prices well below fair market value. Thank you for visiting our listings, and please don't hesitate to message us if we may be of further help.
