There is a clinical research study now enrolling women who are currently pregnant and have had a prior preterm delivery.

You may qualify for this research study if you:
• Have had a previous single-baby preterm delivery
• Are currently pregnant and expecting one baby
• Are less than 20 weeks pregnant
• Are at least 18 years old

The purpose of this research study is to determine if weekly injections of an investigational study drug reduce the rate of early delivery. This research will also determine if the study drug improves the health of the newborn baby

The study drug will be compared to placebo, which is an injection that is like the study drug, but does not contain active study medication. Depending upon how long you have been pregnant when you enter this research study, participation may last for approximately 20 weeks.

There will be approximately 1700 women enrolled in the United States, Canada and several other countries. Your participation could contribute to reducing the number of preterm births.

Our goal is promote peace and cultural understanding through educational exchange. The students PIE have coming on program in August are between the ages of 15 - 17 years of age and will attend school for an academic year or semester at your local high school.
There are no such things as a traditional host family. We accept single parents, retired couples, and families with small children, teens or no children at all! You can have a great experience hosting an International teen. The students are prescreened, speak English and are looking forward to learning about our culture while teaching Americans about theirs.
Students will have medical insurance and their own spending money to cover additional clothing, school supplies, and entertaining they may want. We ask that host families can provide not only a loving home and food for their daily meals, but also a quiet place to be able to study and bedroom to rest. Although host families are not paid, a charitable tax deduction of $50.00 per month that a student is in ones home can be used as a tax write off.
It is only through the kindness and generosity of families in communities like ours that these young teens will be able to fulfill their DREAM of spending a year as an American. Please open your heart and home to one of these teens by inviting them to become a member of your family.

1) Being a model! We are looking for female models of all sizes to model formal gowns for us. Bring as many gowns as you would like to donate, but at least one in your size if you want to be guaranteed the chance to model. We accept gowns in good condition of all styles and sizes, so don't think you have to spend a fortune to participate - go pick out a $20 dress! There's lots of fair priced formal gowns even right here on craigslist! Any dress you bring to model in will be donated to the organization, however, so do not bring one that you are not going to donate, because we will not photograph you in it. I'm sorry. Also, you will need to bring your own shoes, and it would be fantastic if you could bring some props and your own make-up/hair supplies as well. We will hopefully be able to find someone to do hair and make-up for the models, but I'm sure you are all aware it is unsanitary to use others' make-up and hair things.

2) Doing make-up for the models! If you have a particular talent in this area and would like to volunteer to do this, it would be much appreciated!

3) Styling hair for the models! This, also, would be greatly appreciated!

4) Providing some food/drinks for all of the participants. If only a few people would agree to bring some sort of food and/or drink for the shoot, then we could have plenty of food for everyone.

5) Donating gowns/props. If you don't want to model but have formal gown(s) in good condition or props for the shoot that you would be willing to donate to us (actually, we can return props if you want), that would be fantastic! We really do need more gowns!

6) Providing a space for our shoot. We, of course, need a studio, or at least a nice area, to have the shoot at! If you know of a place good for this that we could use for free, please, let me know about it!

7) Making fliers/posters for the organization/photo shoot. If you have a talent for this sort of thing, please feel free to make some and e-mail me your results.

Any other way that you think you can help out that I don't have listed here, please, feel free to e-mail me as well! I am not looking to pay anyone for any of their services, unless it be absolutely necessary. If you model, we will be happy to e-mail you your pictures. Donations can be counted as tax deductions and I'm fairly certain hours spent helping out at the shoot would count as volunteer hours.

We have no set date for the shoot yet, as we have no models or anything who have volunteered yet. When we get enough volunteers, we will set a date. I just do not want to set a date and then have no one show up.
