Our custom built spacious home over looks a beautiful deep
water canal and is located in the Paradise Village Community at
Shell Point, Florida. It is only 30 miles south of Tallahassee, Fl.
The house sits on an angle on the property to allow for an excellent
view of the boats coming and going. Most of the boat traffic is
fishermen and some are joy riders just looking. There is always a
friendly wave. The view of the canal can be enjoyed from the Florida
room with the comforts of indoor air conditioning, the screened in
back patio or from the swing hanging from the big oak tree in the
back yard. Channel markers start at the end of the canal and guide
boats safely into the beautiful Gulf of Mexico just around the bend.
The Community is gated and a code will be provided. Within
walking distance of the house is the community pool which overlooks
another canal, tennis courts, a basketball goal and the public
beach. A new extra large private dock is right outside the backdoor of the
house and has a stainless steel fish cleaning station with running
water. A private bench sits on the dock. The boat ramp is located nearby. If you are an avid fishmen you will need ice...this home rents with a very large
capacity ice machine. You will not be buying ice...just bring plenty
of ice chests. The carport is shaded and we would be happy to share
the abundants of fruit that we harvest each year from our Ruby Red
grapefruit, lime, fig, & pomegranate trees.
Our personal vacation home offers 2000 sq. ft. of open living
space, featuring hardwood floors in living area,3 bedrooms, 2 baths,
large family room, huge florida room with windows covering the
entire room overlooking the canal, 3 dining areas (4 including the
table on the patio), spaceous kitchen with island, washer and dryer
nook, large 32" TV in family room and 20" TV in the master bedroom.
Cable TV throughout. Master bedroom has two queen beds, Palm room
has two double beds, Front Blue room has bunk beds. Two of the
couches are pull out beds. Linens are provided for all. A propane
BBQ grill is stored on the patio.

**Due to family allergies: THIS IS A NO SMOKING/NO PET HOME! Sorry
for any inconvience that this may cause.


Vacation Rental Rates:

3 night weekend (T,F,S,or F,S,S) - $500.00
4 night weekend (T,F,S,S or W,T,F,S) - $630.00

5 nights - $760.00
6 nights - $845.00
7 nights - $900.00

Please call for Winter Discount Rates! Holidays are excluded from any
discount. This includes Fall and Spring breaks.

Monthly rates are available upon request. No more than 12 people allowed.

A $65.00 cleanup fee and a $150.00 refundable security deposit are
required with each stay.

*Deposit and clean up fee is required to secure the property &
deposit will be returned after inspection and cleanup. The rental
fee is due at least two weeks prior to arrival date. Personl checks
must clear prior to rental. We gladly except credit cards for a

Welcome to Tybee Island... Tybee means "salt" to Native Americans, but the name of this low-key seaside resort now brings to mind words such as "sun", "surf" and "fun". Located 18 miles east of Savannah, this small barrier island boasts a wide, 3-mile long beach that's backed by sea oat-covered sand dunes and is perfect for sunbathing, people-watching and frolicking in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The island's south-end pier and pavilion is a splendid venue for strolling above the ocean and listening to the music of the live bands.

Although vacationers are lured to Tybee mainly because of what it provides in the way of recreation and relaxation, those with a love of history won't be disappointed. Tybee offers: Fort Screven, The Tybee Island Lighthouse (dated 1773), an intriguing museum, and Fort Pulaski which is just west of the island on Hwy 80.

While Tybee is a resort complete with a full range of restaurants, modern hotels, motels, luxurious condominiums, and quaint inns and cottages, it's also a residential area stocked with its share of colorful characters. It's an atmosphere considerably more laid-back than that of glitzier, larger beach towns to the north and south.

Savannah Beach and Racquet Club

Unit A134 - Building A is the original phase of development at SB&RC. All units are 1 bedroom 1 bath and the same in size. Our goal was to maximize the use of this relatively small space. At aboout 550 square feet, it was a challenge but gave us an opportunity to be creative.

Some of the nice touches geared towards relaxing are the whirlpool tub, Cable internet access and WiFi and the IJoy Massage chair in the living room. You can surf the waves at the beach, surf the tub with the jets screaming or surf the net on the massage chair with the broadband screaming.

The view of the ocean from the balcony is marginal. It is not a direct view of the beach and water. It can be seen from the balcony, just not an unubstructed view. The fact that my unit is as nice as it comes makes up for the lack of view! If you want to have a great view of the ocean but spend your inside time staring at the year 1982, then my place is not for you. If your looking for luxurious accomodations inside and the same pool and beach access as everyone else in the building, you will be completely satisfied.

Eat in area

In case the weather isnt cooperating or your red skin needs a break, relaxing inside with a movie or your favorite show is a breeze. We installed a 42" LCD on the wall in the living room which has plenty to watch on cable or really relax in bed with the wall mounted LCD with built in DVD player. This also makes a great place for the kids to chill and get out of your way for a bit. Pop in their favorite DVD and they are perfectly entertained.

Living Room

Living room has a full size leather LazyBoy sleeper sofa. All furnishing were purchased new in 05/08 which include the sofa, coffee table, end tables, and entire bedroom suite. The kitchen table was our original table from our house which just seems to be the perfect size. With its extendable ends it easily accomodates 4 and can accomodate 6 for dining. Nice decor throughout.

I need to update this picture, there is now an IJoy massage chair next to the couch!! Also, the patio has been tiled the same as the rest of the unit. Picture coming soon....

Kitchen

The kitchen is an area we are most proud of. With all new designer cabinets, stainless steel appliance and a very unique slab of granite, it is something to see. Appliances include a ultra quite dishwasher, flat top electric stove and oven, a built in over the range microwave and a high end side by side refridgerator with filtered ice and water at the door.

Great floors

Every bit of flooring, including the balcony, has been tiled with a very nice solid porcelain tile. This makes it easy to sweep or vacuum up sand with the broom or vacuum provided. With the pool and beach just at the end of this building, its not too hard to get sand inside - and thats why you come here.

Bathroom

The bathroom is 100% new with a granite top vanity, tile surround in the shower and jetted tub. I selected the deepest jetted tub I could find for a standard sized bath space. A glass shower enclosure really ties this bathroom together.

Bedroom

The original size of the bedroom was just too small. We opened the wall to the hall which added about 25% more to its width. We put pocket doors in the hall on both sides of the bathroom. This enables two couples the utilize our condo with complete separation, even if someone needs the restroom.

These units were original with bunk beds built into the wall in the hall - and we decided to leave them for those traveling with children. The pocket doors also come in handy if children are sleeping in the bunks. Kids are sleeping - simply close off one or both of the doors and the living room, kitchen and bathroom are separated.

All linens and towels were purchased new in 05/08. Cleaning service is available for an additional cost upon request. If staying more than 1 week, a weekly cleaning is mandatory. If a cleaning is requested during the stay, daily or otherwise, there is an additional $50 per cleaning charge. All towels and linens will be washed during all cleaning events.

The location is prime and parallel to the SCAD library... which has free internet access. There are two theaters around the corner... all the shops on the next block... four blocks from the water... quick walk to Forsythe... and several supermarkets. This apartment is in the center of everything that exists down town.

I also have a fantastic dvd/ book collection - if you have time.

The apartment is available from the last week of November until December 31st. That is one week free!!! I collect month's rent plus $600 deposit
